“YOUR UNCLE ROCKS!” Doodlebug Pinkley said to his best buddy, Bog. “Ol’ Bongo definitely did us a solid,” Bog agreed. “Tonight’s gonna be a hoot!” They were standing outside Doodlebug’s house at twilight, waiting for Uncle Bongo to pick them up. Bongo owned the patch of woods where their little hair-raising happening would take place. “Have you got our most important supplies?” Doodlebug asked. “Can’t forget those.” “Mine’s in my pocket. Here’s yours,” Bog replied. “Quick. Hide it. Dandelion’s coming!” Doodlebug took his and slipped it into a pocket, too. “Whatever you’ve planned, I hope it’s halfway fun,” said Dandelion. “Don’t worry,” Doodlebug said to his sister. “You’re in for your best night this year.” Bog chortled.
