“DANDELION, PLEASE,” DOODLEBUG Pinkley pleaded. “You gotta do this for us!”
But Doodlebug’s sister, Dandelion, wasn’t having it. She was curled up all cozy in front of the fire with a good book. And she wasn’t budging. “Nope,” she said, without looking up.
“Ah, come on, just this once,” said Doodlebug’s best friend, Bog. “Someone’s gotta watch her, but we both have homework to finish.”
Dandelion scowled. It wasn’t fair of them to dump Bog’s little cousin Hazel on her. Just forget it! Hazel was totally annoying.
“Mom’s dropping you off at the skating rink soon,”
Doodlebug reasoned. “Just take her with you. She can do her own thing there.”
“I’ll spend all my time trying to teach her how to skate,” Dandelion shot back, “instead of practicing myself.”
