IN THE CITY of San Cristóbal de las Casas, red tile roofs stretch from one end of the valley to the other. Large water tanks sit on each roof. But on one rooftop, the sun reflects off a glass-covered box. What is this box? Why is it there? Would anyone believe it’s an experiment made by a kid?
