Doodlebug & Dandelion On the River

“I HOPE I see two trillion wild animals!” Doodlebug Pinkley said as he clambered into the long red boat. His sister Dandelion, their parents, and their Aunt Pearl followed. Last of all, Aunt Pearl’s precious pet Charles, a humongous bearded pig, lumbered aboard, rocking the boat roughly. The Pinkleys had spent the holidays with Aunt Pearl at her home on the fringes of a Borneo rainforest. Now, this river cruise through the rainforest was going to be the real highlight before they went home. “I’m writing down every animal I see,” Dandelion said, holding up a travel notebook she’d brought along.
