Perfect Pretzels

NOTHING BEATS A doughy warm treat on a cold winter day! What You’ll Need: 1 package yeast11/2 cups lukewarm water3/4 teaspoon table salt11/2 teaspoons sugar4 cups flour1 eggcoarse saltlarge bowlmixing spoonsmall bowlforkfoilcookie sheet What to Do: 1. Ask an adult to preheat the oven to 425°F. 2. In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast in the water. 3. Add the table salt and sugar. Then mix in the flour. 4. With clean hands, knead until you have a soft, smooth dough. (Do not let the dough rise.) 5. Divide the dough into small pieces (walnut to egg sized). 6. Roll the dough pieces into ropes and form into hearts or any shape you like. 7. Place the pretzels on a foil-covered cookie sheet an inch and a half apart. 8.…
