Everybody Dance!

THISTLE AND OPHELIA traveled to San Francisco, California, to see AXIS Dance Company. AXIS was one of the first contemporary dance companies to star disabled and non-disabled dancers, dancing together. AXIS members put on several performances a year and teach dancers of all ages and abilities. During her visit, Thistle saw dazzling dance moves and even got to join in a rehearsal. Afterward, Thistle talked with dancers Louisa Mann and David Calhoun about the joy of dancing. THISTLE: I want to be a dancer when I grow up. Did you always want to be a dancer?
