HAVE YOU EVER wondered how your cat does such a good job of cleaning herself using just her tongue? Try this activity and find out! What You’ll Need:  pencil fingernail file cotton ball What to Do: 1. Rub the side of the sharpened end of the pencil across your fingertip to collect a layer of graphite on it. 2. Gently rub the fingernail file back and forth across the graphite on your finger. 3. Rub the fingernail file back and forth across the cotton ball. 4. Observe the surfaces of your fingertip, the cotton ball, and the fingernail file.  Do you see how the rough surface of the file rubbed the graphite from your fingertip and pulled the loose fibers off the cotton ball?
