Breakfast in Fastbreak

BACK IN THE heyday of searching for gold, life was tough as mountains. If you needed a break and you needed it fast, you headed to Fastbreak. Everything was different in that rickety town. Fastbreak had a nickel mine, for one thing. While it wasn’t gold, nickel was better than nothing—especially them Fastbreak nickels, which were already formed into coins. They were buried right there in the mountainside. Yep, Fastbreak had always been a little strange, and today it was getting a little stranger. That little stranger rolled in on a train. The prospectors gathered round when they heard the chugga-chugga clang-clang. With a clink-clink rattle-huff, the train screeched to a halt.
