As a “reformed” trimix instructor trainer and dive store owner who made the shift to freediving over 20 years ago, I have long been captivated by the utter freedom that our sport provides its practitioners. No cylinder, no bubbles — just you and the ocean and all the creatures and wonders within.
And I’ve always been in search of ways to enhance our underwater experience, to make it more fun and add new dimensions to an already amazing sport. One of my favorite “enhancements” is the underwater scooter, or Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV).
