The Scuba Program at California State University Monterey Bay

At California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB), all of our scuba certification courses are NAUI. We certify through NAUI because we believe NAUI programs allow us to offer the highest-quality training to our students. The philosophy of “academic freedom” espoused and practiced by NAUI allows us to tailor the classes to both meet the needs of and challenge our students. Currently we offer the following classes every semester: NAUI Scuba Diver (four sections), a combination of NAUI Advanced Scuba Diver and NAUI Rescue Scuba Diver (two sections), and NAUI Master Scuba Diver (one section).
