[This project has been awarded a Green Diver Initiative Dive4Change Grant.] The SCUBA Gym created Dive into Biology to educate children and adults alike, engaging them in biology and ecology that centers on the study of limnology (the study of freshwater ecosystems) to expand their knowledge about Florida. In-depth science lectures, activities and labs by professional educators develop the foundation, while the scuba diving aspect reinforces the objectives learned with firsthand experience. The SCUBA Gym has successfully developed Dive into Biology into a fun learning program while producing individuals who become advocates for preserving and transcending environmental causes.
