If you haven’t heard of Chario, be not ashamed – we hadn’t either, until Audio Dynamics began bringing them into Australia. Yet this Italian company was founded back in 1975 – longer ago even than Sonus faber. It professes to being “in the very small world of handcrafting companies that totally make their loudspeakers, drivers and cabinets”, doing so from a variety of locations around Italy, and while it has in recent years produced various lower quality ranges, its higher classics are classics indeed.
