* The most horrendous year has left Pete Barton a frail shell of his former self. Being dumped on his wedding day and then enduring his mother Emma’s murderously psychotic rampage – which left his little brother Finn dead and then claimed Emma’s life, too – have left him wondering if life is truly worth living.
