A Psalm Of Praise

For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; And his truth endureth to all generations. — Psalm 100:5

The title of this psalm is fitting, “A Psalm of Praise.” The sweet psalmist cannot help but look up, down, in, and out, and think of the goodness of the mighty God of Heaven. There are five sentences in this psalm of praise and that is fitting because five in the Bible is the number of the grace of God. Everything that David has to praise God for came from God and is because of God, therefore we are to return praise back to God! He ends this psalm with this phrase, “The Lord is good.” This sentence is in the present tense. David says, “right now” in the present environment, God is good.
