A Cake And Ice Cream Father For most of my life, I’ve had the wrong idea about God. Sure, I believed in Him, I believed what the Bible says about Him, and I gave my heart to the Lord at an early age, but I didn’t understand His personality. Actually, I didn’t know He even had one. My mental picture of God depicted a stern, aloof character who was perpetually displeased with us. I imagined a long checklist against which He measured what I had done or not done, and I continually fell short. Consequently, I knew Him as my Lord and Savior, but I had a hard time thinking of Him as my Father.
