A big part of that was Michael Giacchino’s score, which brought a sense of mystery and menace. It’s been available on CD and via streaming before, but this handsome “Oceanic Black Smoke” edition (basically a blue/black splatter effect LP) is the first time it’s been pressed to vinyl. (A plain black vinyl edition is also available.) We’ll skip over the 17-second title music and go straight to “The Eyeland”, which opens with the THUD that would become a familiar part of Lost’s sonic landscape, before moving into far creepier territory.…
