SFX even put one out back in 1998 (Sound FX, yours for one 1p on Discogs). Well, this handsome new release from The British Stereo Collective (aka producer Phil Heeks) is something even stranger: a collection of 16 themes to shows that don’t exist, plus two brief idents. The opening “Moonbase Britannica” is a wonderfully cheesy disco cut, reminiscent of Meco’s Star Wars And Other Galactic Funk, while other tracks touch on minimal synth (“The Queller Tapes”) and faux library music (“Ghosts Of Us”). Some of the themes are winkingly titled pastiches…
