On making his first horror film… It was my first time experimenting with the genre, head on. And I love it, man. I got to dig into the films that I loved coming up and got to analyse why I loved them and what drew me to them. I really leaned on those influences and figured out a way of how to tell my story in that space. It’s kind of genre-bending. It’s a genre-fluid film. There are vampires in the film, but it’s really about a lot more than just that. It’s one of many elements. I think we’re gonna surprise people with it.
