Although sailboats come in all shapes and sizes, and serve a wide variety of purpose, they all still share a number of common features. They all, for example, have some kind of rudder (or rudders), keels and/or centerboards—underwater appendages as they’re commonly called—to keep them going in a straight line and also allow you to maneuver. Similarly, they also all have some kind of a steering system, a rig and, of course, one or more hulls.
