Interior designer Lisa Storer's modern farmhouse outside Johannesburg blends rustic warmth with industrial simplicity to create a happy home for her family

Shared treasures The kitchen and dining room is an interactive space where cooking, homework and connecting as a family happens naturally. The ceilings are supported with a roughly hewn poplar beam sourced from Knysna, and the hybrid construction with steel creates a strikingly contrasting feature.
