ride@ride.co.uk Tunnel vision I enjoyed your Five of the Best Tunnels story in the January issue. I used to use the Blackwall tunnel to commute to work - until I discovered the nearby Woolwich ferry that’s run by Transport for London. It’s free to use and bikes are waved through to filter to the front, so there’s no queuing. With the ferry you don’t get the build-up of rush-hour exhaust fumes you get in the tunnel, but you do get great early morning views of the city. Paul Robinson Downsize the clutch I read the letter by Chris Wren in the December issue about downsizing and, like him, had always owned larger bikes. My first was a Matchless 500 in 1963 and the last three were a Suzuki GSX1400, a Suzuki GSF1200S Bandit and more…
