ON GOING RETRO EDITORIAL BECOMING DISTINGUISHED On pages 90–93 of this issue you’ll find some of my pictures, shot at the Newcastle running of The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, the world-wide phenomenon raising money for charity and giving people an excuse to dress up. Despite getting a very wet arse, having to borrow a bow tie and buying a jacket from St Vinnies, I had a blast, as did my wife Corinne, attending her first DGR on her Vespa. I was pretty impressed with the turn-out considering the weather was awful and had been for days, but then again the last couple of events had been cancelled due to COVID-19, so it was the first chance to play dress-ups in some time.
