When it comes to future-proofing our homes, we have an enormous problem. Eco-friendly innovations are safer, smarter, lighter on the wallet, and better for the planet. So, what’s the problem? We’re not adopting them at the speed and scale needed to combat the climate crisis. For Australia to meet its net zero targets, we need to electrify 500 homes every day until 20501, and ensure that the 300,000 new homes set to be built don’t harm the earth. That’s a mind-melting number of heat pumps, induction stoves and electric water heaters.
