For stationery lovers, Katie Leamon’s studio is heaven. Set against the rolling Essex countryside, the open-plan production and design space houses curated shelves, busy and tactile moodboards and seductive swatch samples of fine paper and pristine envelopes. Old stamps and letter presses line desks, and, of course, there are Leamon’s own elegant notebooks, filled with ideas for future designs. For Leamon, who trained initially as a textile designer, it’s the perfect place for the business she set up 11 years ago and now runs with her family. ‘My work space is a reflection of me and our stationery,’ she explains. ‘It has a fresh, streamlined feel, but it’s filled with interest.
