There was a tough conversation I needed to have recently – around money (never an easy topic). It meant I had to put Step Up Club’s business needs ahead of my emotional response, and I felt paralysed by the thought of it all. Instead of rushing in, I planned my approach, gave myself quiet space for some rational thinking, and reflected on previous difficult conversations that had led to solid, positive outcomes for all parties. I’m happy to say, the conversation went really well. I thought I’d share how I prepped, so that you don’t need to fear and fumble your way through when you’re faced with what feels like doom on every front.
