Living history Lucy Alcorn and her family have lived in a series of period country properties since moving back from London to her home turf in Northamptonshire 25 years ago. To date, this includes a 17th-century chocolate-box cottage, a listed farmhouse and now an early Victorian property. The move to their current home was driven by a desire for more land for her daughters to enjoy as they grew up. Set in the middle of nowhere, the house was originally three farm cottages, later converted into a single lodge-style home in the early 1950s.
