When environmental therapist Inez Gudem and her partner Isabel Berg Hansen first set eyes on their elegant 1910 home in Melsomvik, Norway, it was love at first sight. ‘We bought this house in autumn 2021, on a whim,’ admits Inez, who has a real passion for interior design and has always liked older properties. ‘This house has such character and all of the major renovation work, such as the roof and drainage, had already been done, so we could just get on with decorating it.’ Since moving in, Inez jokes that she has ‘torn up pretty much every room’, transforming each space with salvaged finds, vintage buys and thrifty hacks.
