Reclaim Partnership The glassware section in charity shops fills me with both joy and sadness at the same time. I love seeing all the shapes and sparkling cut-glass pieces, but unfortunately, I know a lot of it will end up in landfill as it doesn’t sell that easily. However, creating your own decorative jars means you get to at least make a dent in the surplus! We all romanticise about Victorian Christmases, and seeing vintage jars on shelves and counters is reminiscent of an oldfashioned sweet shop. The new Super Gild gilding paint from Guild Lane works beautifully on glass; you can just paint on a little to highlight areas or go super-bling, like me.
