After completing a business degree at Birmingham City University, I explored a couple of other avenues. However, my heart was always set on joining the family business. As an eighth-generation Gameson, I’ve had the opportunity to do everything, from working on the electro plant and polishing to pricing and booking-in work. I enjoy getting involved, and it’s always beneficial to be familiar with all aspects of the business and have a hands-on understanding of each process. Gameson’s was founded in 1818 in Walsall. The original factory was located in the town centre, where it tinned belt buckles for the Napoleonic Wars. Today, the company provides a range of services centred around tinning.
