Have your say in RCM&E’s monthly chat room SUNRISE RESTORED In case you feel the Flair nostalgia feature still has mileage here’s a brief follow-up to the recent ‘Sunrise City’ item in Pilots’ Pictorial. I’ve restored my Sunrise and powered it with a Mega in-runner, a 10 x 8 folding prop and a 3S LiPo. Sadly, the original wing had deteriorated and had to be binned. I did, however, find an alternative, stronger and heavier card covered wing for use in really strong winds. (In those days Kellogs used top quality box board for their flakes.) I can’t recall flying it with this wing, but I must have done as there is clear evidence of a repair. Not a good omen, I fear! Dean Hunter FILM STAR FLYER Thank you…
