When I wrote the original article for my 3/4 scale 1911 Deperdussin it was my intention to complete the article in one piece. I had written the article as the model was being constructed and it was submitted to the Editor when I had carried out three test flights Sadly, further activities with the Deperdussin didn’t go well and when I told editor, Kevin, of my problems he was keen for me to do a follow up article, which you can read here A FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY When I next flew the model, everything looked good.
