On July 1, the Class 50 Alliance’s 50007 Hercules and 50049 Defiance ran light (without nameplates) to Arlington Fleet Services’ Eastleigh works for bodywork attention and a repaint.
They will emerge in BR ‘large logo’ blue, the first time 50007 has worn this livery since 1984.
On June 29, they worked Pathfinder Railtours’ ‘Mazey Day excursion’ from Dorridge to Penzance, taking Class 50s back to the old Western Region routes of the 1970/80s.…
