Paul and Tracy reunited for Class 73 double-header

GB Railfreight used 73107 Tracy and 73119 Paul Taylor to take failed 66796 The Green Progressor from Tonbridge to Peterborough on July 30. 73119 was named in July 2023 after GBRf Contracts Manager Paul Taylor, who died two years ago from prostate cancer. 73107 had earlier been named after his wife Tracy. This is thought to be the first time the two Class 73s have double-headed a train together since 73119 was named last year. Luckily Tracy Taylor, who also works for GBRf in its Peterborough office, was at work and was able to see the ‘73s’ arrive on what was a rare sortie away from the Southern Region for the two original electro-diesels. They returned light engine straight away.…
