The RAB reports that digital revenue is skyrocketing, even though, when it’s compared to over-the-air revenue, the number is still relatively small. Managers are constantly questioning whether they should devote more resources to digital — heading into unknown territory, and taking their eye off the all-important spot-revenue ball. Managers also have to worry about whether the client would have spent that money with them anyway — or are they simply moving money from one pocket to the other because an AE needs to hit a budget?
