Kate York of Glen Waverley, Victoria, designed this quilt to be made from fat eighths, and it is super easy to create, requiring you to cut squares only – no triangles!

Finished size: 183cm (72in) square Finished block size: 12in Materials At least 18 fat eighths of assorted print fabrics – use more fabrics if you want an even scrappier look or if needed (see Note) 3.3m (3 5/8yd) white fabric (background) 60cm (¾yd) pink print fabric (binding) 4.1m (4½yd) backing fabric Batting at least 200cm (80in) square Rotary cutter, quilter’s ruler, large quilter’s square ruler and mat Sewing machine with ¼in foot General sewing supplies Note: If the fat eighths you are using have a usable width of at least 21½ in, you can make this project from 18 fat eighths.
