Drawing inspiration from the Hamptons

Jenelle Kent is a quilt designer, fabric designer and quiltshop owner who draws inspiration from both French design and Hamptons interior design. And that’s easy to see in the soft colours and classic designs Jenelle creates. “My style of quiltmaking is influenced by French- and Hamptons-style decor, using fabrics that fit with this theme,” she explains. “The designs of my quilts are timeless classics with a slightly modern twist. I like to keep up with colours that are trending in house interiors to give the quilts a contemporary edge.” The Kent family resides in the picturesque coastal town of MacMasters Beach on the Central Coast, north of Sydney. “Our suburb is a quiet beachside haven with about 800 households, so you get to know most people in the area,” Jenelle…
