Curiosities

The title of this quilt draws its name from the fabric range that Moira de Carvalho of Somerville, Vic used to create it – Curiosities by Jen Baker for Art Gallery Fabrics. It is simply made with 20 fat quarters and a background fabric.

Finished size: 194cm (76½in) square Finished block size: 18in Materials 20 fat quarters of assorted print fabrics 3.2m (3½yd) white fabric (background) 60cm (3/4yd) black and white striped fabric (binding) 4.4m (4 7/8yd) backing fabric Batting at least 210cm (83in) square Rotary cutter, quilter’s ruler and mat Sewing machine with ¼in foot General sewing supplies Make the Best of All blocks 1 To make one block, choose three fat quarters – they will be referred to as Fabrics #1 (centre square and outer star points), #2 (Sawtooth Star) and #3 (small squares and outer triangles).
