Mysterious Swedish collective Goat have announced the release of their fifth studio album, Medicine through Rocket Recordings on October 13. Acknowledging a marked shift in their sound, masked member Fluffan says, “Medicine is just a natural progression of Goat as a band. We’ve always tried to not get stuck in any idea about what Goat are or should sound like or be.” Speaking of the album’s intent, Fluffan tells Prog of the healing nature of the sustained tone clusters that infuse it. “I think the drone is a metaphor for our longing back to the primordial state.
