Ozric Tentacles mark their 40th anniversary with the release of new album Lotus Unfolding via Kscope on October 20. Leader Ed Wynne says the new music – just like the flower – represents rebirth and good times ahead.
He says, “It’s a general message about enjoying the world – have fun with it and let it unfold – and if it doesn’t work, try putting this record on!”
He reports that the six–track contains “something old and something new,” adding: “The title track is very, very blissy; an ethereal bliss. And sometimes we go there, but not quite as blatantly as that. There’s a couple of new little ideas here and there. Burundi Spaceport is something of a diversion from the normal thing.
