“Do you mind if we come amongst you?” It’s not an offer you hear at too many gigs, but tonight, mid-set, that’s exactly what Haunt The Woods do, to deliver a heartwarmingly pleasant rendition of Sleepwalking, one of the more laid-back offerings from their upcoming second album, Ubiquity. Yet however impressive the band’s acoustic strumming and intricate harmonising is, it kind of kills their momentum, coming, as it does, halfway through their set.
Much is expected of Haunt The Woods, who have spent the last decade or so honing their craft down in their native West Country, but, now signed to Spinefarm, are thrust into the glare of the spotlight as they gear up for Ubiquity’s release. Were they from the US, no doubt people would be…
