King’s X have been a dominant force in progressive/alternative metal and hard rock for many decades, proving time and time again how exhilarating and inventive they are both in the studio and in concert. Despite a couple of significant issues, their catalogue-spanning show tonight – featuring superb support from up-and-coming prog/art rock trio Sound & Shape – demonstrates how enthusiastic they remain after more than 40 years.
