Jem Godfrey goes for maximum prog majesty with epic double album.

Frost* aren’t holding back on Life In The Wires, their upcoming concept double album about a protagonist called Naio on the run from the Artificial Intelligence that controls his world. “This is the fifth album we’re doing for InsideOutMusic, we’re at the end of our contract period,” says Frost* founder Jem Godfrey. “I thought, if this is the last one, I’m going to go out in a mushroom cloud of progressive rock glory.” The album begins where 2021’s Day And Age finished, with a voice emerging from a haze of static to ask, ‘Can you hear me?’ Rather than a sequel, Godfrey says the story is set in the same fictional universe as its predecessor. “A spin-off series is the best way to describe it.
