STEVE HILLAGE TO TOUR THE UK IN 2023

The guitar legend’s Golden Vibe Tour will feature Gong musos, and The Utopia Strong.

Guitar legend Steve Hillage will tour the UK next year, with Gong as his backing band and The Utopia Strong opening for him over the 12-date run. “We’re calling it The Golden Vibe Tour,” Hillage tells Prog. “It’s a quote from one of our well-known tracks, Aftaglid, from the Fish Rising album [1975]. It sums up what I feel we need to be doing at the moment, because we live in very dark times. I enjoy playing music, but I also feel it’s part of being a musician to try and bring some really good and healthy energy into the world.” Earlier this year Hillage, who’s 71, played Glastonbury Festival’s Glade stage with System 7, his electro/dance duo with partner Miquette Giraudy.
