Belfast proggers, lovingly packaged, on their final tour. If anything highlights what fan power can do these days, take a look at the activities of the Fruupp Facebook group, who have coordinated this release, along with a raft of other merch and releases, to help keep the Belfast proggers’ memory alive. So many great bands from the 70s deserve discovery, even 50 years after they first wowed audiences, yet beyond standard reissues (from Cherry Red in this case), vaults, if they exist, sometimes remain untouched. Masquerading With Dawn is a bootleg recording of the quintet from Friars in Aylesbury from December 1975 when Fruupp were touring their fourth and final studio album, Modern Masquerades.
