Consternation among fans and bands at festival organisers’ last-minute decision.

Fans and bands alike have been counting the cost after HRH Prog XIII was postponed and its location changed. The event was originally scheduled for September 3-4 at the O2 Academy Leeds, but on August 10, with just 18 days to go, ticket holders were informed by organisers that due to “logistical and operational challenges” the show would be re-scheduled for April 14-15, 2023 at the 02 Academy Sheffield, 38 miles away. The short-notice period left many fans struggling to recoup travel and accommodation expenses. As for refunds from HRH (whose parent company is Chic Festivals), the response has been such that – according to numerous social media reports – ticket holders wanting their money back have had to resort to using their credit card company’s chargeback service.
