A glow-up for a milestone of the Norwegian prog revival. Originally released in 1995, and last reissued 10 years ago, White Willow’s debut album receives a fresh lick of paint from Karisma Records as it arrives on vinyl for the very first time. The 2013 re-release from Termo Records had a remaster by Jens Petter Nilsen from the electronica duo Xploding Plastix. This time the music has been remastered by White Willow’s guitarist Jacob Holm-Lupo, one of the producers of the original recording. Ignis Fatuus may have been born smack-dab in the middle of the 90s, but it’s far cry from the synthesised sounds of neo-prog or the distorted guitars of 90s alternative rock.
