Seven-minute opener Force Majeure orbits around a simple motif, sucking without ever really doing much. It’s a trend that the understated 8-bit synths of Invocation and the stuttering beats of the dizzying Trip Hazard all too happy to continue. In fact, the 11-minute closer Space provides the record’s only real drama.
