Great lost album from komische legend. Dieter Moebius was best known for his work with Hans-Joachim Roedelius in Cluster and Harmonia, their surnames complementing each other like butter compliments bread. The 88-year-old Roedelius continues to perform with American composer Tim Story, and he’s reputed to be in possession of thousands of kilometres of magnetic tape yet to be digitised, meaning there’s likely plenty more from him. Moebius, on the other hand, died in 2015 and was less prolific than his musical companion, though Story is also involved in preserving his legacy. Following 2021’s posthumous MoebiusStrips, which featured collaborations with Michael Rother, Jean-Benoit Dunckel and Yuri Suzuki, comes Aspirin, an album of outtakes dating back to 2006’s Nurton.
