ELP OFFSHOOT 3 TO RELEASE LIVE ALBUM IN NOVEMBER

Rockin’ The Ritz: Live 1988 makes vinyl debut.

3, the short-lived Emerson, Lake & Palmer offshoot from the 1980s, whose original line-up released their sole studio album To The Power Of Three in 1988, are to issue Rockin’ The Ritz: Live 1988 on vinyl for the very first time on November 17. It’ll be out through RockBeat Records, with UK distribution through Winerworld. The band’s line-up saw Keith Emerson and Carl Palmer team up with US musician Robert Berry, after Emerson had previously worked with Greg Lake and Cozy Powell on 1986’s Emerson, Lake & Powell album. Both acts only toured the US before splitting, so UK audiences never got the chance to see them, although subsequent live recordings have since appeared.
