Jane Weaver’s interest in psychic phenomena, theosophy and cosmology has long been established. Playing solo shows supporting her Loops In The Secret Society project, the digital backdrop that dominated the stage celebrated the abstract imagery of Swedish artist Hilma af Klint, whose own work was inspired by mysticism and spirituality and is now generating much contemporary interest and a re-writing of art history.
Here, on her second album with longtime collaborators Peter Philipson and Raz Ullah, Weaver turns her attention to early 20th-century medium Stella Crenshaw, whose table-tapping sittings across the 20s continue to bamboozle the scientific community to this day.
